Getting Started
Follow these steps to set up and launch your first AI-moderated voice study with ReadingMinds.
Create Your Account
Sign up at readingminds.ai. You'll be guided through initial setup including company name and team invitations. No credit card required for the free tier (10 interviews per month).
Create a Project
Projects organize your research. Name your project and optionally upload your brand logo for white-labeling. Think of a Project as a campaign or research mission.
Start a New Study
Go to Studies and click New Study. Each Study is a self-contained research activity with its own interview design, participant engagement, and analysis.
Set Your Research Goal
Enter your Research Goal and Emma, our AI, generates a complete Study Guide for you: objectives, core questions, and follow-up probes. No need to write questions from scratch.
Refine Your Study Guide
Review and edit the Study Details, objectives, and questions. You can change, add, or delete questions, adjust objectives, and set how many follow-up probes Emma asks per question (up to 3). When you're happy, click Publish.
Test Your Study
Always recommended before a full launch. Use the Synthetic Distribution option to generate test answers, or run a quick test with 3 to 5 real respondents. Review transcripts and emotion tags, then tweak if needed.
Distribute to Your Audience
Share the unique study link with your audience via email, SMS, or embed it on your site. Emma handles interviews 24/7, and results start appearing within minutes of each completed interview.
Review Insights
As interviews complete, your dashboard updates in real time with themes, sentiment scores, PEP scores, and emotion tags. The AI auto-generates reports with key takeaways and recommendations.
Export & Collaborate
Download CSV exports with full transcripts and AI-generated categories. Share auto-generated reports with stakeholders. Invite team members to collaborate at no extra cost.
Tips for Success
Keep interviews under 10 questions for the best completion rates. Recommendation: no more than 10.
Let Emma generate your Study Guide from a Research Goal. You can always edit it afterward.
Use Synthetic Distribution to test your study before sending it to real respondents.
One follow-up probe per question usually gets the best results. More probes can make interviews feel longer without adding proportional depth.
For statistical significance, aim for at least 50 interviews. A minimum of 10 is recommended for diverse opinions.
